Associate Broker License: Georgia real estate law provides two types of real estate licenses —salesperson and broker. Each license has certain criteria required by the State of Georgia. However, obtaining a Broker's license requires more experience and knowledge. To obtain a Broker's license, one must have had a salesperson license for at least 3 of the last 5 ye
ars, completed 60 instructional house in Broker's Course Study and then pass the Broker's real estate examination. Therefore, obtaining the Broker's license provides more in-depth knowledge and understanding of the license law.
Any Broker is qualified to open and manage an office of agents - when doing so that Broker is then referred to as the Managing Broker. A Broker choosing not to manage other agents is referred to as an Assoicate Broker. To better serve you, both Ben Staten and Kathy Kirby Seger, have earned their Associate Broker's licenses many years ago. We also continue to attend educational classes throughout the year to stay current on market conditions, financing options, and technology advancements.
