If you're discussing real estate with Kathy Kirby Seger or Ben Staten, you may hear them refer to North Fulton as a wonderful place to live. This is a local term for the portion of Fulton County north of the Chattahochee River. The cities of North Fulton include Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell and part of Duluth. Here it is on a map with the boundaries for North Fulton penciled in.
The boundries for North Fulton would be the Chattahochee River on the South, Gwinnett County on the East, Forsyth County on the North, and Cobb and Cherokee Counties to the West. Since the boundries for the cities within North Fulton County twist and turn, this is a great way to search for homes and know you have seen everything available if you are looking for a home in Fulton County North of the Chattahochee River. Another point to keep in mind
is that the school system is the same throughout North Fulton.
Very recently (early 2007), the cities of Johns Creek and Milton were formed. Prior to that time, much of North Fulton County was unincorporated. The map below shows you each cities location- Milton in light green, Alpharetta in pink, Milton in purple, Roswell in light blue, and Sandy Springs in green.

Because both Johns Creek and Milton were only recently formed, neither city has a post office. Therefore, for purposes of your home search, you'll find few, if any, homes showing Milton or Johns Creek addresses. Instead, most of these homes will have either Alpharetta, Duluth or Roswell addresses, depending on what post office delivers their mail. Confusing? You bet! But we know these areas very well and can help you sort thru the important issues.
