(Note from Kathy) You probably do not remember the first time you heard of RE/MAX, however I do.  I was working at a well-respected real estate firm in Schaumburg, Ill, a suburb of Chicago.  I had been selling real estate about 2 years and this new firm opened its doors across across the street.  It was a RE/MAX office.  Immediately it was the talk of all the real estate agents in town…who were these people, what strange idea they had splitting real estate commissions (that’s how real estate agents get paid), continuing education and training should be part of your business, and more.  It was not long before the successful agents started to make the move.
