Other pieces in the live, work and play development at Avalon are 250 luxury rental homes built above Avalon’s Phase I retail and 101 homes built by Monte Hewitt ready October 2014. There will also be loft office space over retail and additional office space in Phase 2.

And the city of Alpharetta is advancing conceptual work with Avalon for an Alpharetta Convention Center incorporated with a hotel concept by the Stormont Hospitality Group, with a targeted Spring 2016 opening. The proposal currently calls for 300 hotel rooms and up to 47,000 sq ft of convention space. Currently the Marriott at Windward Parkway has the most nearby convention space with about 13,000 sq ft of convention space. Stormont currently has a portfolio of over 20 hotels, mostly in the southeast and most with convention space.
