Good news all around for the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta to open this summer in Woodstock GA off the I-575 Exit at Ridgewalk Pkwy. The original opening date of August 2013 has now been moved up to July 18. And the tenant list has been updated with some very familiar retailer names.
According to the Cherokee Tribune (recent photo credit to Todd Hull), the new stores will include AÃ©ropostale, Asics, Berry & Berry Yogurt, Bose, Charleyâ€™s Steakery, Charlotte Russe, Claireâ€™s, Columbia Sportswear, Dress Barn, Fox, Gold Toe, Gymboree, Haggar, Jos. A. Bank, Journeys, Kay Jewelers, Kitchen Collection, Love Culture, Lucky Brand, Maidenform, Motherhood Maternity, OshKosh Bâ€™Gosh, P.S. From AÃ©ropostale, Sbarro, Sunglass Hut, Taqueria Tsunami, Ultra Diamonds, Waterford Wedgwood, Wilsons Leather and Zumiez. These brands join original committed tenants Brooks Brothers, Cole Haan, Michael Kors, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th, Talbots and Under Armour.
According to past releases, Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta will feature covered walkways and landscaped courtyards to maximize the comfort and convenience of shoppers. Its design blends traditional architecture with lively features childrenâ€™s play area and a center court complete with fountains and fireplace to create a festive atmosphere for shoppers and other visitors to the center. The site will accommodate an additional 30,000 square feet of outlet shops and also features eight out-lots for restaurant and other uses.
From an economic standpoint, the initial $75 million investment is already helping the local economy and estimates going forward are astounding: an estimated 4 million visitors annually, annual sales and property taxes of $3 million and 1200 permanent plus 1600 seasonal jobs.
