According to the Woodstock Patch, there is a very good chance of all four ramps of the Ridgewalk Interchange opening on Friday, November 16. Weather permitting, the C. W. Matthews project will come in about a month and a half ahead of the end of year deadline.
The new interchange (aerial photo credit project manager Tal Harbor) will be Exit 9 off I-575 and includes a diamond-shaped interchange and a new Rope Mill Road bridge over the interstate. There are also auxiliary lanes between Ridgewalk and Towne Lake Parkway.
According to Woodstock officials, the interchange should help with traffic relief on both Towne Lake Parkway and Sixes Road. So check out the interchange next time you are out and about and see if there are some time-saving routes to save you commute time.
