Trailfest, the 4th Annual Greenprints Alliance fund-raiser, will be March 23 starting at 2pm til 10pm. This year the event is relocating to The Park at Center City. Trailfest is an afternoon and evening of leading regional musicians performing, food tastings, craft beer and wine tasting, family fun activities, raffles, and more. General admission is free to the festival and concerts. Donations can be made during the event for Greenprints Alliance or online at www.greenprintsalliance.org.
Trailfest is the primary fundraiser for Greenprints Alliance, a non-profit organization, which has an annual public and private contribution goal of $100,000 to fund green infrastructure projects as part of the award-winning Greenprints Master Plan of trails, pathways and inter-connectivity around Woodstock. The event is a great way to support the community and businesses.
Performing this year at Trailfest will be The Whiskey Gentry and the Kurt Thomas Band. The Whiskey Gentry have shared the stage with artists such as Doc Watson, Old Crow Medicine Show, Rhett Miller of the Old 97s, John Popper, Ed Roland of Collective Soul, Chatham County Line and Slobberbone. Singer/songwriter Kurt Thomas grew up in Dahlonega and is known for small-town imagery in his songs and his most recent release is “Six Strings and a Prayer.” The times of the performances has not been release as of this writing.
If you are looking for a fun-filled afternoon and evening, this annual event is always a great time.
