Over the Christmas holidays my grandchildren’s St. Louis grandmother was visiting. She had done some research on museums the kids might enjoy and did an outstanding job. One afternoon they spent at the Delta Flight Museum near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Both were entertained and their parents found it interesting and educational also.
The museum provides a good history of Delta to present day. Located in Delta’s original 1940s hangars, you will find restored planes from years past, interactive exhibits, and The 747 Experience. The 747 Experience is Delta’s first 747 retired. You can walk through the entire plane, see the pilot’s cabin and cargo area, walls are removed to see the workings of the plane, and first class lounge chairs to try out.
All the pictures from the day were lots of smiles of happy visitors. Learn more about the Delta Flight Museum.
