Tuesday, November 27, is GA Gives on Giving Tuesday. This day has been created as a fundraising opportunity for GA non-profits. We love and recommend in particular Canine Assistants, located in Milton, GA. Canine Assistants was founded in 1991 with the aspiration of training and placing service dogs with children and adults with physical disabilities, seizure disorders and other special needs. Canine Assistants has also places over 60 dogs as hospital “employees” throughout the country through the Children’s Hospital Initiative, helping children find joy and reduce stress in an sometimes frightening hospital environment.
When you contribute to Canine Assistants, 94 cents of every dollar goes directly to supporting the placement of service dogs with recipients in need. You are not only funding the daily care and teaching of service dogs, but also providing recipients and their loved ones a priceless new member of the family.
