Recently I was showing homes to clients on an dreary overcast day, When we walked in the front door it was like a ray of sunshine. The seller had left every light on for us. The client instantly smiled and made a very positive comment about the house. In every room lights were on making the house warm and inviting. It’s amazing how this one thing can help with the sale of a home. Every buyer wants a house that is light and bright. Leaving on lamps and overhead lights provides the feeling a buyer is looking for.
As a REALTOR, I was thankful I was not fumbling for light switches. Instead I could focus on the attributes of the home and point out the features the client was looking for. This seller understood that making the right first impression counts.
