Fall is finally here and while we need the rain, I’m ready for one of those cool, crisp fall weekends. And here we are again with a Saturday double-header of fun fall events in North Metro Atlanta. Two such events are coming to Milton and Alpharetta on Saturday, October 6th.{[}]{[}]First up in Milton GA is the Crossroads at Crabapple Arts and Antique Festival, a free event taking place from 9am to 5pm. We’ve written about this event in the past as this festival dates back to 1969. According to the Milton website, this year over 100 artists and antique dealers from 6 states. Typically there are roaming musicians, great food and children’s activities – and new this year is a “Literary Pumpkin Contest”, in which students from Crabapple Crossing Elementary students have decorated pumpkins inspired by their favorite books. Veterans of Crossroads at Crabapple recommend that you arrive early for the best buys and selection.{[}]{[}]
And back for a second year is the Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest, kicking off at 6:30 pm and staying open until 11pm. With more vendors participating this year, organizers expect more than the 1000+ attendees last year. For a $10 admission, you’ll again enjoy the Old School Horn Band as the opener and headliner Banks and Shane from 9pm to 11pm. Plus there will be great food, beer, wine and other beverages available for sale. Local returning vendors are Smokejack and Pure Taqueria and newcomers Alpine Bakery, Breadtime German Restaurant, Seven Seas Mediterranean Cafe and Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint. And you can reserve a table for 6 for $100.00 or for 8 for $125, assigned in the order they are purchased.{[}]{[}]So get out and enjoy some (hopefully) great fall weather and fun fall events!
