{[}]The Holiday season kicks off Friday, November 29 with the City of Milton Tree Lighting ceremony in front of Target on Hwy 9. The event starts with a 30 minute tree lighting ceremony (including Holiday music) at 6:30 pm. Right after the tree lighting, Santa arrives by Milton Fire Truck and there will be free hot chocolate and popcorn, more music and an opportunity for photos with Santa.{[}]{[}]Next, on December 7, the sixth annual Christmas in Crabapple event takes place throughout the retail district from 2 to 5 pm. Friendship Community Park, located between Crabapple Elementary School and Nortwestern Middle School, there will be holiday music, hot chocolate, a bounce house, funnel cakes and holiday train rides. In the retail district, there will be a bonfire, photos with Santa and a “North Pole Passport” offering shopping discounts.{[}]{[}]Last but not least, Milton Mayor Joe Lockwood opens his home to the city on December 15 from 4 to 7 pm. Hosted by the Milton City Council, the open house will have food and drinks donated by the Council and Milton businesses.
