City of Milton officials have scheduled a planning meeting to discuss a pocket park planned for the corner of Webb Road and Deerfield Parkway. The Milton Parks and Recreation Department will hold an information session and open house on March 21 at 7pm at City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107 E.{[}]{[}]The proposed park is on an approximately one-acre site that was purchased with MARTA funding. Among the ideas discussed are a veterans’ memorial and walking trail with outdoor exercise stations. However, nothing is set in stone at this point with city officials wanting resident input.{[}]{[}]Lots of workers and residents already walk or run along the sidewalks on Deerfield Parkway and the development of this pocket park will hopefully encourage more to enjoy our area. So go give your two cents on what you want this piece of land to be!{[}]{[}]For more information on the project or meeting, please contact Jim Cregge, Milton Director of Parks and Recreation at jim.cregge@cityofmiltonga.us.
