The other day, I had some electronics to dispose of…a tv, an old computer, some stereo equipment so I went looking for a place that recycles electronics. I found the Tommy Nobis Center. If you have lived in Atlanta for a while you might recognize the name. Nobis played football for the Atlanta Falcons, in fact he was the first player drafted by the Falcons in their inaugural 1966 season. Nobis played 11 seasons for the Falcons and made the Pro Bowl Team five times.{[}]{[}]The Tommy Nobis Center provides job training and employment for people with disabilities and other barriers according to their website. Their “Recycletronics” program helps others and protects the planet. It’s an easy way to recycle your used electronics. You can drop off your used electronics which are then broken down and recycled. Your donation provides job training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and other barriers. Consult your financial adviser to see if your donation could be used as a tax deduction.{[}]{[}]If you live in Woodstock, Marietta, Sandy Springs, Roswell the recycle center is conveniently located off Highway 41 and Barrett Parkway. The next time you go to the Towne Center Mall or any of the other great shopping areas in the Towne Center area you can drop off those used electronics on your way.{[}]{[}] {[}]{[}]
