Santa is Coming to Woodstock’s Jubilee and Parade of Lights

Woodstock’s annual Christmas Jubilee and Parade of Lights is Saturday, December 1.  The parade starts at 5:30 and run along Main Street and Rope Mill Road from Hwy 92 to Woodstock Elementary School.  The parade includes bands, floats, and the Jolly Ole Man himself – Santa Claus. {[}]{[}]Other activities include a performance by The Elm Street Player at 2pm of The Lazy Elves at the Elm Street Theatre at City Center.  Admission is free, donation of can chili, stew, or chunky soup are requested for local food pantries.{[}]{[}]After the parade there will be festivities at The Park at City Center starting with the Christmas Tree and Park lighting.  There will be awards for floats and Woodstock Citizen of the Year presentation.  Santa will linger for a while for visiting. Ronnie the DJ will provide music and food vendors will be there before and after the parade.    Free marshmallows will be provided for roasting. {[}]{[}]Do some holiday shopping with speciality vendors or take in a movie at 8pm on the Lower Level of The Park.  The Woodstock Jaycees will be collecting unwrapped gifts for the annual Toy Drive.   This is a great way to start the Holiday Season.{[}]{[}]
