Standard – This is for posts with only one featured image

Gallery – This is for posts with multiple Images to be displayed in a slider

Quote – this is when you want to display a quote

Every post will need the following areas filled out
Title, Content Area, Format, Categories, Featured image, Excerpt

The Excerpt is the area that shows the preview of a post on the home page. You can use the following code inside that area to create a line break
